I’m back with polishes for January’s Polish Pickup! This month’s theme is Mythology & I’m so excited to share the pretties I received.
Polish Pickup is a Facebook group where makers create polishes based on a certain theme that members of the group vote for. The polishes are shipped together, for one low flat rate price of $3(U.S. orders) Orders are automatically combined and shipping on multiple orders will be refunded. The shop will be open January 4- January 7, 2019.
Anchor & Heart-Yggdrasil
It’s a pale spearmint green crelly with green to purple shifting aurora pigment, purple/magenta/orange shifting UCC flakies, and a sprinkle of red to purple shifting micro glitter.
In Norse mythology, Yggdrasil is the "Tree of Life" - an eternal green Ash tree whose branches are said to hold up all of the nine worlds, stretch through and above the heavens, with massive roots that reach down to three mysterious realms of gods and monsters.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer-Haetae
It’s a silver linear holo polish with an icy blue to purple shimmer, holo flakes, and iridescent flakes that shift teal to purple. Sarah grew up listening to stories involving the haetae from her grandmother so this mythical creature has always held a special place in her heart. What's not to love about a unicorn/lion/dragon hybrid creature that's a symbol of protection?

It’s a black to colorless thermal full of copper micro flakes and unicorn sister pigment.

Ethereal Lacquer-Grímnismál
It is a smoky amethyst, it’s between a neutral and a purple.
This polish is inspired by Huginn and Muninn, a duo of ravens thought to be familiars of Odin. In Norse mythology they would watch all of Midgard.

Fair Maiden Polish-Mnemosyne
It is an earthy multichrome that shifts amber-olive-spruce with aurora shimmers, holo glitters, and iridescent color shifting flakes pink-gold-green.
'Mnemosyne' is inspired by the Titan goddess of memory and remembrance.

A tri-thermal shifting through blackened navy (cold) to peach (warm) to periwinkle (hot) laced with blue to purple to orange to green shifting aurora shimmer, featuring orange to gold to green shifting iridescent flake.

Jior Couture-Goddess Yemoja
It’s a blackened sea-green to deep ocean blue to abyss blue/violet.
The beauty and mystery of Yemoja is shown with the holo splashed throughout this nail lacquer. Her fierce protective energy is represented as a water blue magnetic pull.
Yemoja (Yoruba: Yemọja) is a major water deity from the Yoruba religion. She is an orisha and the mother of all orishas, having given birth to the 14 Yoruba gods and goddesses.
In mythology Yemoja is often depicted as a mermaid, and is associated with the moon, water, and feminine mysteries. She is the protector of women. She governs everything pertaining to women; childbirth, conception, parenting, child safety, love, and healing. She oversees deep secrets, ancient wisdom, the moon, sea shells, and the collective unconscious.

77 Nail Lacquer-The Goddess of Death
It’s a medium toned nude base with copper & red shimmer, copper, pink, and violet sparks, pink iridescent shifting flakes and grey iridescent flakes.
According to Norse mythology, Hel is the daughter of Loki the trickster God & giantess, Angrboda. Banished to the underworld by Odin, she made the realm her own world and crowned herself the Queen of Helheim. Also known as the Queen of Death. Her appearance is described as half Corpse like and half flesh-colored and further as having a gloomy downcast appearance.
